| KUALA LUMPUR, July 08 (ES) - The Pakatan Rakyat coalition has agreed to form a state level task force in the northwest state of Kedah to iron out any differences among its members.|
In a press conference held here today, Azizan played down the differences between the three parties that made up the coalition as merely a storm in a teacup.
The Pakatan Rakyat coalition which comprised of Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS), Democractic Action Party (DAP) and People Justice Party (PKR) currently administers the state after winning the majority of seats in the last general election.
Azizan who is also a PAS central working committee member is unpertubed by the possibility of BN controlled mainstream media from continuing to playing up several issues to drive a wedge between the parties in the fledgling government.
"No problem, no problem. It's over," said a smiling Azizan after a 40-minute meeting with DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang.
Azizan said he would look into claims by Kedah DAP in relation to some of his more unpopular policies.
Kedah DAP quit the state Pakatan Rakyat coalition on July 1 after complaining about some of Azizan's policies.
The latest source of disagreement was over the demolition of the sole pig abattoir in the state.
Azizan said that an alternate site has been found for the abattoir.- ES _
